you do realize that this is like a third of the questions people ask on this forum now, how to wire and MIDI the MPC to software.....

yeah i do, but i'm more interested in showing off jj's features rather than babysitting. unless i'm feeling particularly generous (ie if i've been drinking) i probably won't be showing any hardware stuff.

yeah i can understand not wanting to cover basics. my point tho is JJOS offers some different MIDI features. and you seem to have figured out a good way of hooking up your MPC to reason and your controller which might be of interest to numerous heads. and you asked what people wanted to see tutorials cover..... but whatever, yo, do what you want!

oh i got you, yeah i can do some qlink midi stuff too.

yea my bad i didn't mean actual hook up of all the stuff just how you integrate it with your mpc.

Everyother topic is "reason and mpc" etc etc etc....

Im pretty sure anything you show will be enlightening.

LFOs are fun to mangle sounds with.

i've found that LFOs are incredibly powerful for snare additives/kick additives/shaker simulations.

generate a noise sample/apply a 90 level sine wav LFO at .48 or .24 rate and you have yourself a nice low volume shaker. play with filter to make it a little more realistic. layer it with a real shaker to give yourself even more of a boner.

take a triangle wav and put it on note on and SAW DOWN. turn the level down in program so it's quite and polite. turn the rate to 1.00 and pitch to 100% or w/e you like. simult this to your hardest snare. it gives a mournful downpitched (or uppitched, if you just do "saw") tone to your snare.

all this and more. lfos are nasty.
