hahah thanks for the kind thoughts
that would be nice, but unnecessary, broke ass broke as i feel right now, i have enough money to bulk order materials right now
materials will cost me $500 for a handful of units that i'll make, sell, and buy more materials with. all said and done i'll probably be spending $5000+ on materials unless i find better sources/they cut me a break on bulk sales
sad thing is i'm really no businessman or scientist i just exhaustively tried sht til i found stuff that works
i need to start collecting my neighborhood's kids and putting them in my basement under florescent lights and with nothign to eat but oatmeal and ramen, with soldering irons and materials...
just kidding...it'll only me in the sweatshop
and seeing as how i'll be making 50+ of these things it really will be borderline inhumane!
as far as the 2500 goes i mean they don't have to "test" stuff on the 1000, like they don't have to only gvie new features to the 1000 and get bug reports there because as we've seen porting the features over does give bugs. i'll be curious to see how features get introduced now, one machien at a time or both simultaneously. i'd just really liek to see some sort of compatability between files so we could swap prj zips across machines.
but i don't mind having done the bug reporting which hopefully eased the slide of the jj os into the 2500. 2 birds with 1 stone as far as i'm concerned, i think it's awesome to have had a part in it, especially when bug reporting very rarely gets in the way of pushing the envelope with new beats...and also because it gives me an opportunity to make quiet, humble suggestions....like midi ccs from external source controlling qlink!!!
it's very nice to feel as if we have some part in the design of these machines code, which is really getting powerful and reason-esque...reason in a smaller box with a better sequencer and more limited synthesis concept
dunno if you saw this but it's from from jj faq:
1.24 Programs ==> 99 Programs
2,Q-LINK Slider ==> MIDI CC out.
MIDI in CC ==> Q-LINK.
These are under plan.
i was just talking abuot how nice this would be for those with midi controllers...esp those with only 2 qlinks, but even for those with 4 qlinks!!
