its great. i bought it with some emu flash rom, which is near impossible to get anyone to come up off of, so i can use my own samples in it. the sequencer is pretty deep, not as deep as the mpc but close, it even allows X0X style programming. the real strength of the machine is the voice architecture, which is semi modular. its basically the same engine as the proteus 2000 line. i can give you a link to a song done with it mostly...

this is the guy i bought it from actually. he owns a drum and bass label called FSR and hails from new orleans. very cool guy actually. gave me a hell of a deal!

the filters on this thing made those warpy sounds possible. its actually got a similar architecture to the EMU E4 ultra line of samplers, but its newer and boasts over twice the number of filters. good stuff!

yeah i have an e64ultra, it always had a slightly synthetic plasticy sound but very rubbery -the filters were very musical which was good!, but the voice architecture in emu's was what got me to buy one - the patchable routings for the controllers/ mods/lfo's etc are very thoughtful - unlike akaiMPC's...but i got a kurzweil k2500r in the end tho' because it sounded more rougher n more extreme.

but that thing u got there seems a good build.

yeah i had a k2000rs at one point and was so intimidated by it that i sold it. DOH! i need to try one again.

this EMU thing has 128 voices of polyphony. not gonna run out anytime soon methinks!
