Bluebox PGM not playing back the right sounds

You can do that in Bluebox. Just drag the sample from the browser to the pad while holding down the right mouse button. Then hold down CTRL and click the pad to hear the sample.

Yeah, I agree they should have included the grey buttons, knobs and faders too. I wonder why they didn't?

Was it hard to install the black kit? Did it come with instructions?

At first they didn't have the display lense when the hosuing kit was available. So Akai is slow with parts. That was about a year ago, and they still never shipped the knobs and sliders to the states yet.
As soon as they do, I'll buy them from VST.

There were no instructions available. But I didn't need them since I've opened this unit a million times to fix the pads.

The pics in the link below show you how to remove the housing.
Just be careful not to damage the buttons when securing the top housing.
The display lense needs to be glued to the housing.
If I remember correctly, I used some silicone adhesive that i was using to glue the pads for that. Go sparingly, so you don't have to clean up a mess.

Wow. After viewing those pics and reading what you said, I feel really confident now about opening up my mpc. I was kinda scared to at first. I think I'm gonna go ahead and order the black kit.

I wonder if they are ever gonna ship the knobs, buttons and sliders? I really want those too, but I will settle for what they have for now. I think when and if the knobs and sliders come in, they should give them to us (people who already bought the kit) FREE of charge because we already bought the kit and they made us wait so long.

I am gonna go ahead and order my kit tonight. I'm probably gonna open up my mpc tonight just for some practice.

I just ordered the black kit. I also took my mpc apart like in the pictures. Took me about 10 minutes. Easy as pie!

I can't wait for my black kit to arrive!!! I'm really glad I returned to this forum after being gone so long. This forum has been very valuable to me this time around.

Dude! I just spent about 4 hours reading all the stuff going on with the 1000 pads. I had NO IDEA!!! Wow! I read a ton of posts by you about the problems and different fixes you tried for your pads.

Your latest fix was fairly recently. It was the single pad sheet designed by NYM. How is that holding up for you so far?
