Wow there are some real sticky fingered genuises on this board? For starters maybe learn to read:

For ME the OS is not worth it if I have to carry an external filter box around with me because JJ did something stupid. for ME not for YOU... geddit? Obviously the JJ OS is "better" but that doesn't mean shit to me if it is no use to ME with MY gigging kit and MY airplane luggage allowance. geddit, ME and YOU = different. You can stick your plonker in the your JJ OS MPC1k for all I care - doesn't change the fact that is flawed.

From my experience asking for you money back is a very good idea if something is flawed or inadequate and as it stands the JJ OS has this one huge stupid definciency which means I can't use it onstage.

But, wankers, I now have a dialogue with JJ and I think it will be fixed.

So bye, genuises, and thanks for all your help, its really a great board

Little harsh... don't ya think? If some dude bought a Lambo, and thought it wasn't right for him... and went back to his Honda, isn't that his right to ask for a refund? Sure... anyone in their right mind would call him an idiot, but to each his own.

But I'm sure you don't just use your MPC for live events so couldn't you just use the Akai os for your live shows and the JJ os for when you're @ home? Than that makes it work out for you. You get to use the JJ features and the filter of the Akai os at the appropriate times. There you go bro.

Take care.

Maybe JJ will give you a refund, but really once you have gotten the password there is no going back, its like when you open the box for software at Best Buy or whatever, they don't know you didn't copy it so they can't take it back. I bet JJ will give you one, but I don't think you deserve it.

As I said in another thread, JJOS is well worth the $30 as it stands.

Since the latest release of JJOS can be tried free of charge (it just doesn't save), there is simply no excuse for buying it and then 'discovering' it doesn't meet one's requirements and demanding a refund.

Just reload the old Akai OS and drop it. You should have looked into buying this OS more carefully if this was so important to you! You know damn well once you put the code in it's good for life. And to answer your questio: NO, NO ONE has asked for their money back because they got everything that they were told they were buying and more. How petty are you really? I bet when you were a kid and you started losing at a game you'd quit just to ruin it for everyone else. Boo hoo, go **** yourself.
