yo back off, you choose to open the page. be thankful that people are nice enough to even trade ideas.

it looks like velocity->filter is there in some form still in the adsr control. velocity start can be "staggered" using copies of the same sample on the different velocity range layers.

i still like the idea of maximizing control via simult. the interesting thing is that you can actually simult 4 pads, set the velocity range specific to the hit on each pad, and have four separate pad controls over each layer. it's the exact same thing as having 4 layers on 1 pad, just with a whole lot more control (individual filter, individual adsr, individual effects, individual aftertouch settings)
