Can one of you elaborate on what this stuff is exactly and how they relate to JJOS....

all the things i posted are vst effects. you apply them in a host like Reaper, Pro-Tools, Acid, Cubase, etc as an effect on your incoming audio.

they serve to augment what jjos provides by complementing some of the limitations (such as complex midi routing, limited number of pad layers, limited fx, etc)

As far as filtering goes I tried Frohmage too, but I like this one more: Sonalksis TBK Stereo.

I would have to say NI Kore 2. I love the fact that it can use VSTi and be used standalone when working on the mpc. It is in my opinion better than reason for a mpc due to the fact it doesn't have a sequencer and just recieves midi clock from the mpc for the tempo. You just load the vsti choose midi channel and play. Great for layering samples. I am still learning the program but so far it's been great.

It's VJ software, so you can trigger videos and effects from different midi events. This is especially cool when you're drumming a track live jel style, and each individual noise is assigned to a different visual or visual effect.

I use this with an MPD24 attached to my MPC, so i have lots of knobs and sliders to also add effects to the video output. Very cool!

i'm just a fiend for them, i track em down.
folks on the reaper forums are huge fans of independently made plugins that have very specific uses
or are better than their egregiously expensive counterparts.

Curious to know if you've tried OtiumFX Sonitex? Best dirtbox plugin ever. I used it (and PSP VintageWarmer 2) last night on the Fabfilter synths. Whoa.

The Concept —————————————————————————————————————————

When sampling vinyl records on vintage hardware samplers you often get something more than the musical content itself. This "sonic texture" may be a subtle feel, or it may be something that actually plays a defining role to the sample.
