129 really surprises me... I've studied MIDI for a long time and there is a reason everything goes from 0 to 127 or 1 to 128. That reason being: There are only 128 combonations in a 7 digit binary code number. How the hell did he get around this? JJ rules.

Yes, that's exactly what I mean. Sometimes I want to have certain pads/samples panned individually but still within the same track so that I can use the track mixer to control the overall level of the track. If this was added that would be great.

It has nothing to do with MIDI. It is stored in arrays. It's just a matter of memory .

Ny the way, you can send 14 bit data over MIDI via two 7-bit bytes, like the pitchbend. This makes a resolution of 16383 integers.

More external control is always a plus with me and the Axiom 49, though I'd like to design a controller box specifically for the JJ OS in the future.

I checked the video again and i see what you mean. At 1.48 the screen looks different .It looks like it shows pad level and pan on the left and the level and pan of tracks on the right. It could be that there is a fully independant track mixer rather than the either/or that we have now. I rarely use the track mixer but i probably would if thats whats happening.

oh, man. now i can keep my midi drumset hooked up to my MPC drum track fo ever...no more hitting my drum only to trigger a module or vsti instead of my drum kit.

i wonder if this means you can record on multiple tracks at the same time, or only the active track.
like say i'm working on track 5, PIANO and i'm jamming on the keys, but suddenly i want to add in a ghost snare on track 9...can i just leave overdub on and tap the snare while on track 5 and have it recorded on track 9?

i also rarely use the track mixer since i route everything to DAW anyway - i just use the daw mixer, since a lot of my stuff is vsti anyhow. but for folks whose sounds are coming predominantly from the mpc, i see this new cc track vol and pan thing to be a real blessing. props to jj for catering to a broad variety of production styles.

I just upgraded my DAW, but this is definitely a blessing, as I still like keeping it all in the MPC as well.

As far as the active track or not question, we'll have to wait and see. i Hope he's able to pull that off.

Dope, hell yeah! Too bad I wont be able to mess with the beta in my 2500 since it's just for the 1k. Anyone have any Idea when it will be available for the 2500? And is just the beta version free or will the actual release be free too? I don't mind paying, just wondering?

Regarding the pad mode, it seems that it has been modified or delayed at a next update after the 2.0 release. I couldn't clearly understand what I was told. Well we will see soon enough.
