OS version 3 bugs

I figured this prolem might start popping up in OS 3 soon... I have yet to try OS 3, but I'm assuming there is a way to "refresh" the directory tree as I described for OS 2.1.

I just got a new keyboard stand and have been loving finally having quick access to shit on my karma while still having the ease of use and flexibility of my MPC. I have previously sequenced my karma with an MPC but not much since I got my 1k, I just haven't had space, etc. And walking back and forth between the two was a hassle, so I rarely used the karma.

Anyway, long story short, I'm getting random Program Change messages sent to the Karma. Like, instead of sending the appropriate PCs (the Program #s which I've assigned in the Program # field on the main seq screen) when I hit Play Start, it'll send Program Change to Program 0 for all channels. So I get freaky deaky **** up music.

If I stop it and hit Play Start again, usually I get my normal situation back and everything's smooth sailing. But sometimes, it even pops up when I just leave the loop playing!

I've checked my step edit to be sure no Program Change messages are there (there were some stray ones in there from when I was flipping through patches using the MPC not thinking and had it in overdub) and I've also eliminated the Bank Change CCs from all tracks. So it's nothing simple.

Has anyone else got this? All the bugs I've seen are for the MPC standalone, but I like to incorporate other gear in the equation sometimes.

[EDIT] Never had this before, either, but I never really played with my Karma much after OS2 came out... is this a known bug in OS2? [/EDIT]

the loop points in wave file sounds clicks&pops on os3.03

I'm using 3.03 and I randomly get no sound out of my 1k, not even the click track. The midi works fine. If restart the mpc everythings goes back to normal.

Im using the newest 3rd party OS wich is 3.03 and still dont know how to use the direct recording. Iv tried the way it would work on a mpc 2500 but it doesnt work. Do u know how to direct record with this new beta OS?

ive had project after project FREEZE on me in the last week ..
usually SAVING ENTIRE MEMORY.. to a new folder.. then i rename the folder.. and if the CURSOR is to the right of the last letter in the folder name... freeze when pushing DO IT

about 5 times now.. ..so frustrating.

wow make that 6 times..
and the cursor had nothing do do with it.
3.04 is the same way..
please fix this so i can save my work.

AGAIN!! three times in a row is bad news. i can not save to HD.. it autoloads From it fine

wanted to load another project's "autoload" over an existing project ; even i replaced the same files and cleared memory, the sequences were not replaced. os 3.03

Well, I also have a KARMA and the MPC and I've had this problem ever since I first got my MPC when it came out thousands of years ago, which leads me to believe is not a bug within 2.0 because I've this problem ever since I had OS 1.X installed on my MPC.

Maybe it is a bug on the KARMA??

i cant mount usb .

gives me a sound of when you unplug the usb... like (3)tripple note real fast.

and im scared to save. so she dont freeze.. this is the buggiest os beta yet possibly .. FOR ME.

Is the direct recording supposed to work if you use the mpc as a midi slave to an external midi source?

Ex: I have my digital track machine as the midi master and my mpc as the slave. When I do direct recording, it records fine. When I play it back, the recording is off almost an entire bar. Every time I stop the track machine and start it again, my mpc gets off beat even more.

_ press [play/start] -> mpc and slaved midi gear starts.
_ select "Now:xx.xx.xx"
_ turn the jog wheel anti-clockwise -> mpc quickly restart from 00:01:00
_ error: slave midi gear does not restart

Main screen
_ select "Sq:xx_seq_name"
_ press [window]
_ set "Next Sequence" to "ON"
_ press main
_ press [play/start] -> mpc starts.
_ press [overdub] + [start] -> recording starts
_ press [overdub] -> recording stops
_ select "Sq:xx_seq_name"
_ turn the jog wheel
_ error: mpc does not select the next sequence
_ press [next seq]
_ error: mpc does not go to [next seq] screen
(but if "next sequence" is set to "off", everything work as expected)

i also noticed that pressing stop 3 times sends a program change = 1 to midi tracks. I wonder if it is a bug or if it is on purpose.
Is there another feature apart from that behind this "pressing stop 3 times" ?
