Well, they are diffrent. The 3k has some one ups, but so does the 1k.
I'm new to the 1k, I happened upon almost by accident, (traded for an MPC-60). I like waaaaay more than I thought I would. As a matter of fact, I love it. It has all that "new scchool sh*t". Even more than the 2k, (which is the MPC I've created with the longest.)

But at the same time, I feel as though my studio won't be complete until I cop a MPC 3000. The 3k is an end of an era. It's built like a peice of furniture, It sounds Great, and it's a simple and straight up Drum machine. But mostly it's sought after because of the opinion that it "sounds warmer". I too share this Opinion. So does Dr. Dre & J-Dilla, two of my favs...

PLEASE TRICK THE MPC 1000 LIKE YOU KNOW YOU CAN.


MAKE IT LIKE A FILTER OR BIT QUANTISING... because i know that the mpc only deals with 16 bit wav files. to make the audio pass thru a "8 bit/12 bit funnel" then resample back to 16 bit would do the job!
