Agreed. I wasn't directing the message to you or anyone in particular, it just seems like most people on here are constantly waiting for something more out their 1000/2500, and the people using their 60/3000/2000(xl) are quite content with what they got. The 4000 is more advanced but I've yet to hear a beat and noticed any technical difference or any of the many filters effects etc... So my main point is really it doesn't matter what's added. A dope beat is a dope beat, but it's more satisfying when the machine you use is doing things it's not suppose to do. Example. SP-303's are primarily sample manipulators, but when someone makes something amazing on it, it makes other producers look like, "damn.. son did THAT on a 303?" Figuring out alternate ways to make a machine do things it's not suppose to do is part of the excitement of making beats, and when you do finally stumble across something, it will make every other producer wonder how you did it. The excitement with a "do it all" drum machine is lost the day you unpack it.
Lets just say for arguments sake that someone figured out how to make the 3000 resample. I bet a lot of people would sell their 1000/2500/4000's even tho they already have this feature. Madlib made the 303 famous because it's a machine that's not suppose to do what it does. Someone figured how to copy sequences..another function it's not suppose to do. We need to do the same thing with what we have. There "may" be a way to automatically assign samples.. who knows? :)

I'm cool on the "connect four" tip. I stopped playing that a while back...

anyway...

i think it just takes the fun out of "making beats"...

roxstar, I truly believe we are on the same page. I really have everything I need already. (Accept for the time I would like to make music.) Most of the features that are added are just extras, accept for the alternate or ping pong looping, as I learned sampling with this feature. I can't tell you how happy I was to be a part of requesting and finally seeing this added. Whatever happens, I'm just happy to have a recording studio I can carry under one orm... Peace

all i want is to be able to slice a sample into, say 4 slices, and have the option to assign those 4 slices to the next open pads in an existing program.
