it would have all the features except the ones like pattern and chord, and other such antifunctions.

concentrating in general more on OS2's ability to edit qreal curves in grid, way more like the additions as 'duration' is in seq edit.

and manual recording of movement of 'parameters' like effect params. and a modulation matrix as found in other good samplers - such as adsr/velocity/lfo > delay time/feedback/reverb size/depth/phaser rate/depth etc..

but its not really gonna happen. i'm sure in a split universe JJ would see these as worthy additions, and i believe its code-able.

anyways. sooty - u got my list earlier, allbeit a bit rushed.

LOL I know, I was kidding man!

Sooty-- Just to stay on track with our group's goal... Are you thinking it's time to make our official request yet? It sounds like 2XL for the 2500 has reached a fairly stable version already. What's the game plan?

Can you send a copy of this list to Akai aswell? Along with everything in JJ's OS's that we love? i think that's what we should be doin..
Just for the LOLS, like it will make any difference, I still think they owe us a comparable OS is all..
but they don't give a toss about the costomers apart from selling new machines and making OS's for them...

nah. just means 2XL bugfixing (and it has a lot of bugs still) is his main priority. he needs to figure out what can and can't be easily ported over to OS 2 & whether it's worth the effort for him to do it. in my email to him i asked that he take the time to give this request some serious consideration so hopefully that's what he's doing.

i expect inevitably there will come a SuperJJOS, with OS1&2 ("JJ Legacy") features ,XL,and XXXL ("JJ Performer") features, all rolled into one mega 4MB .bin thats got a checklist where u can switch on/off all the listed features seen in the comparison chart + more, filling the memory space right up to its capacity, and all for aprx. $100.

somebody pinch me, (elevated) thats my "BaseOS-Z" idea actually.
