astralpirate wrote:This is ridiculous. Savillion, why are you even posting in this forum if you don't like the 1000? Second, my first sampler was a Roland s-50 midi'd to an Ensoniq SQ2 (actually my first sampler was a casio sk-1 that had like 1.2 seconds of sample time... I'd put my tape deck on hi speed dub and jack little loops... 8 year old style), then I moved up to a Roland W-30, Akai s-900, and a Tascam portastudio 424mk2... I've made albums using the MTV music generator on a PS1 (thats playstation 1), I've rocked an SP-12 with 10 seconds of sampling time, I've done pause tapes before I had any of that. The point is this... if you make dope beats, it doesn't matter what you're using. If the pads on the 1000 are so terrible, why are so many people putting up new posts about using their 1000? Wouldn't they have all been returned or traded in for a down payment on a 2500? I'm not here to start beef at all because that's counter-productive, but your semi-hating isn't helping anyone with anything. So now that we know you don't like the 1000's pads, can we please move on and not speak of this again????

And again, I'm not here for beef or to disrespect, so put the surface to air missles away, okay?

Dude, I have a friend that uses the ps1 music generator...

It's not a game. :)

. and when the jj os is dropped for the 2500, everything will be fine and dandy for everyone. it looks like it might be up tonight, too.

WHAT U TALKING BOUT WILLIS!? its up tonight OH MAN ...naw naw bullshit...hahha tripping already and I just said I dont get hyped on os's HAHAHHA! oh well time to shut up and let the real Duke jj do his thang thang!

As long as youre happy with what you got and youre comfortable with what you spent to get where you are today. it's all good. even if you think that my MPC 1000 is a toy. You are indeed always welcome to voice your opinion, contrary to popular belief or not.

Please read carefully:

DONT GET ME WRONG CUZ! YOUR STYLE IS IIGHT. BUT I KNOW CATS WHO USE PLAYSTATIONS WHO CAN MAKE WHAT YOU or I CAN MAKE and then some. IT'S VERY HUMBLING SIR.

your (estimated price) $2000, to my $1000, to my homies $110

AGAIN: It's not about what you use.

its how you USE it.

The main issue is how akai is quick to cripple the same people who give them buisness (everyone on this **** forum.) And how its horrible that in the end we (including you sir) have to go elsewhere in order to get what it theoretically should have been in the first place. :x

I didn't mind spending the $30.00 to get the update.

It just frustrates me when i think a few years back the mtv music generator had more sample editing features than my MPC 1000. and how WAKAI brought out a NEW mpc (your 2500 savilion) before supporting the MPC 1000 with o.s. 2.01!!!

don't mean to shoot theories.

but what if this was WAKAI's plan all along? ???

I wouldent attempt it caz its ment for playing video games just like the 1000 is ment for music....but with pong I m starting to wonder!...oh yeah tell your homie to hook up an ms2000 a fantom x his vsti's and his guitars and all its fx peddles to his playstation see how far he gets....

I bet I can piss further than any of you!
"I wont even post my music or leave it on a computer connected to the intertubes because it can actually be sold, and you'd probably just try to jack it! I only make my music with a spoon, two cans, some string, an old boombox speaker (my mic) and a radioshack solid state recording circuit. Its the dopest!"
Get over yourself people, if you are trolling a post about a machine you dont even have or use, you must be having horrible writers block... Shit if you are trolling on a music creation forum, period, you must be having some major issues.
Go back to whatever you use and try to make something original. Try A) not just sampling someone elses melody/bassline B) learning an instrument, or failing that C) make something other than hiphop. You'll love yourself for it, variety is the spice of life.
But I doubt this will happen so...
Flame away.
