Yeah, I forgot you can't hit the pad to select it in Midi Grid Edit. That also bother me if I have the track set to Midi and I wanna erase something. Like I'll be using my sound module and recording a drum seq. If I mess up on just the hi hat, I gotta hit erase and scroll through the midi #'s til I get to just that one, then go to the other side and do it again.
I keep it set to Drum now until I get my good take and then I change the track to Midi.
I also wanna see Copy Pad in GPE with the hit pad to select pad (with the sample on the current pads to audition like in Assign sample to pad window) added in there with it. I hate even goin' to OPM to copy a pad. Going to OPM is like seeing an ugly girl I use to date and having to say hi when I really don't wanna. Ewwwwwww!
