The layout and usability are so much better than 2.1 and id happily pay $30 to the guy/s who are writing it but...just dont know how...

Here you go... my translation of the "Trim w/ Chop Function" info on JJ's MPC1000 Site:

(The pictures are available here: http://www7a.biglobe.ne.jp/~mpc1000/mpc1000_new_os.htm)

Shift Key + Left Arrow Key - Zoom Out
Shift Key + Right Arrow Key - Zoom In
Up/Down Arrows Move the Level Up/Down

Q1 After + Slider --> Alter Start Value
Q2 After + Slider --> Alter End Value

When Cursor is in Start/End position, if you hold tap tempo and move the data wheel the Start/End Values will change by larger increments.

When Cursor is in Start/End position, if you push the numeric key, you can enter values using the pads.

F5 Chop:

When cursor is in region position, move data wheel and you will move regions.

When cursor is in Start/End position, moving the data wheel changes start/end value.

F5 Slice:

Move the data wheel to change regions.
Hold tap tempo and move data wheel to make changes in larger increments.

Left/Right keys move regions
Up/Down moves level Up/Down

Using F3 Auto, automatically moves to the beginning of the attack.
Note: Auto feature is not included in Beta Version

gee this os is so much better. just the whole layout of saving/loading stuff seems so much more logical. and the trim (whilst very different from before) is so much quicker. and grid edit as well. once direct recording is working properly cant think of much more needed. recording track mutes would b ace tho, seriously could do with that.

I just noticed that in Trim(loop) mode, when you cursor to the start time and press the window button, a dialog pops up that lets you turn on/off start time equaling loop start. Was this in the previous betas with the new trim/loop window or just beta15?

one thing i would like is sampling bit rate choices when i sample stuff....Like if i wanna sample at 16 bit, 12 bit, 8 bit, or what not..that would be dope...To save space if someone has a low meg card, and to get that low bit rate sound....and it would be cool for someone to come up with more effects, like wah wah, tape echo, and what not....and being able to munipulate the effects with the sliders instead of going to the screen.....

i think the bit rate is down to the converters, but i may be wrong. it would be cool to have though. extra effects? hmm nah, just better ones please. :D
