"Notes: There is no screen of MODE+PAD7(PROGRAM)"

does this mean he jj is finally going to get rid of OPM?

and what about this: "The functional addition which the programmer is planning is performed till March, next year.
Therefore, when it is a request which can add it, being added becomes in April, next year."

any plans to introduce a Quantize Strength parameter (from 1 to 100%) in the TC window?
I'd buy a new MPC 1000 just for that (right now I'm on a 4000).

Midi CC in. Yes ! I dreamt so much about that... I'm from Belgium. So I'll pay in euros (1€=1,4$). It won't be so expensive if you're from Europe...

Cheers JJ !

awesome JJ.

jeez forum crew!? u lot have filled 5 pages so far hahahhahah.

but its gonna be ace, as stated about memory space: there's room to build/fix the os as it goes,

above all i'm buzzing about the new adsr (not just amp/filter envs) - having just noticed the pitch env adsr !!! yeaahhhhhhhhh all with aftertouch ctrl...

midi implementations, cc> qlink etc coming....its gonna be hot.

and the overall layout looks very comprehensive, and informative....

its shame this wasn't how the mpc1000 was on its original release (having expected more form it 2 years ago i couldnt beleive akai were soooo dim witted), now JJ's brought it kicking n screaming out of obselescence.

I hope the current resolution of 96ppq will become higher.

you need that to make drills?

No, for smooth recording of midi notes. If you compare a recording of fast notes with the way you play it on your midi keyboard it sucks. Off course you can turn off TC but then you need real tight playing skills.
Or doubling the sequencer speed to get double ppq effect, but I don't like that. The MPC4000 has a ppq of 960 which makes it a better sequencer.

not a complaint about the price but a suggestion : maybe JJ should make a package with os 1+2 for newcomers and a little discount for those using it for long time (at the beginning it was more kind of beta testing). It would be cool for early supporters.

pad-o - yeah, it looks like OPM went the way of the dinosaurs.

any plans to introduce a Quantize Strength parameter (from 1 to 100%) in the TC window?
I'd buy a new MPC 1000 just for that (right now I'm on a 4000).

that would be faaaaaaaaantastic. meanwhile however i've gotten sooo comfortable with recording with tc off completely and nudging notes.

arabee - 5 pages! wait a couple days. historically we've always been abuzz when good news comes...and this is as good news as anythign else

big days for us OG mpc1000 users:

1 - day you bought the mpc1000
2 - day Akai os 2.01 came out
3 - day JJ os beta came out
4 - day JJ "New" os came out
5 - release of Akai Pad Fix
6 - (coming soon) JJ os2

anyone up to making some themed art for the release of os2? jj's page is looking kind of bare without the pic of the mpc1000.

i don't think you really need a higher resolution...
perhaps you would need a higher grid quantisation resolution (1/64, 1/128 and the triolet that go with)

ha ha! i bet he has been getting slammed with requests. i think what this means is that he already has plans to add a bunch of stuff that will keep him busy up thru march, & then starting in april he will begin adding the requests that he hasn't already incorporated. sounds like he has been thinking about this for awhile and has a lot of stuff planned.

good. i've done my fair share of requesting over the year.5 but over the last couple months i've felt more and more like "let him do what he does."

9 times out of 10, anything i ask for gets the response "it is already planned."
i will just sit out and let JJ program what JJ wants to program.
of all people, he seems to know what's important.

as users we should concentrate on a flawless workflow and bug free features. lots of testing on our part there, not only for bugs but for workflow inconsistencies or better ways of doing x, be it a moved button etc.
