Flash memory does wear out. Basically, the more you reflash it the smaller it gets. Question is, did Akai spec super durable SLC, or less durable MLC memory?

Not me... I'm rolling with the 1k till the wheels fall off. Whatever needs to be replaced I guess I'll have to replace it. Again...

I'm verry happy with OS2. The only thing I would want added is the Midi Device Naming, and Quantize Strength.

To anyone who was following the discussion of Final Requests for OS2, you can now post your input in the new dedicated thread: viewtopic.php?f=25&t=107959 I believe we're still using the "list your top three features to retrofit from 2XL" format.

I just hope JJ will continue to fixe the bugs on XL. Because I'am learning how to work on XL, and it's really good, I like it. There is many little adds that will never be possible to add only in the Os 2.

jj ditched OS2 to channel any interest directly through XL, therefore anyone wanting OS2 but are a bit late, will inevitably need to purchase XL to get OS2 up....without any more hassle to improve the former OS1 and OS2.

legally, i imagine JJ's got more shout with XL than previous OS's that were more like akai's copyright.

so it would make sense to pursue his own intellectual property......and profit, with less chance of a sue job from akai in the longterm.
