or am i missing something?

you are missing something  . You can load a regular wav and add any chops. Try it.

I'll try again. I did try and i couldnt seem to get it to work. I couldnt see any lines. maybe my sample was too big? or something just happened to flake out.

thanks for making this work on Linux! :)

(I know it's only because all the Mac whiners made you port it to java, but thanks anyway)

FileNameExtensionFilter is only in Java 1.6, presumably your Mac uses an older Java runtime, so this might help:

some suggestions:

- change the waveform color darker so the green and red lines contrast it better (right now it gets hard to see the lines especially when you have a wav thats very vertical)
- btn to open the folder that contains the sample you are editing (you already have path, would be nice to open that path)
- dialog box for slice2wav giving you the ability to choose export/slice location and confirmation
- remember last folder browsed to when you opened wav
- preview of individual slices, maybe when you hover in slice area you can hit ctrl + click to preview slice
- overlapping slices
- keyboard shortcuts

can better explain what you say about this. do you say what you want play the select slice?

the other suggestions could be added in the next update.

I need to convert JJOS2XL PGM files back to standard PGM files with NDCs sliced and mapped to correct pad.

This would be a good collaboration with JJChop capability.

I am even interested in doing some development as it would be a good way for me to get back into it.

BTW - Has anyone seen/reverse engineered/documented the file format for JJOS2XL PGM files?

the problem is that there is no documentation for the file format os2XL-PGM.

I was looking at old docs on version 1. Based on those I am going to reverse engineer the jjos2xl file format by creating new PCMs in jj and comparing to Akai 1.0. I am going to start with simple stuff realizing that the more complex jj features in PGM will not be carried over nor are they relevant when imported into other applications.
