It would mean that each sound could have different effects as you can only use 2 at once . Do you find 2 effects enough ?

It would be great to be able to bounce down effects , for example have a snare and select it to send to effect 1 eg reverb and bounce down without having to rerecord the sample .

Hmmmm..what are you actually doing when you bounce down tracks in a digital audio workstation?

I dont wanna bounce down tracks just be able to add an effect and then bounce it to a new sample . Asi find 2 effects not enough .

Well, you have to deal with these limitations. Even the MPC 4000 has limitations. Effects absorb too many resources. Extensive effects are better suited for a higher-end workstation or a computer. Generally, MPCs are not built for these chores. You need to go with an MPC 4000 is that is what you need..and you only get a little bit more.

agreed. do it on the pc or whatever old box you're working on.

mpcs are compositional, not an all in one solution. i would be wary of any all in one solution. imagine a guitar with a 4 track/effects unity soldered onto the neck...

what I would like is in the chop screen......have the ability to preview chops by pressing on the pads rather than using the scroll wheel.....that would be fresssssshh!!

You would be able to work out and play with how your chops before they are chopped...uknowwatImsayin???

outboard effects are still a good alternative. some lexicon reverb/multi-effects processors can be found for cheap on ebay, as well as other effects racks and pedals. it's all a matter of perference, though i love the best of both worlds, having vst effects as well.

True dat....

They will never be able to put the amount of FXs that we would really need into an entry level MPC. External effects is the most logical solution.

I believe this post is what you would want in the new O/S. What you're speaking of is hardware.
