yowski,
i wanna have some more (or even real-time if possible) control over my lfo rate, which i got synced to tempo, and switch up between some rhythmically relevant values (like 25, 50, 33, 66, for example) , and have it recorded into the sequence.

any of you guys know how to record these lfo rate changes into the sequence? is there a way to control it with midi cc..?...or q-link??

not yet, maybe never.
i recommend using an external lfo for this. plenty freeware midi cc lfos out there, coupled with any vst effect could produce whhat you're lookin for.

yeah...but then i'd just use the daw and leave the mpc, which i like the hardware vibes ... mmm...maybe gotta choose a small hardware synth box ...like some mini midi synth with some nice lfo control via cc...and send from q-link the cc's for lfo rate change..

that brings me to next question...where can i edit those cc's besides in an event list?? is it possible to use the grid edit, x0x bar-pattern-thing, or pattern edit for cc patterns? i noticed you can't send midi from the patterns...

see, that thing is cool, but it's WAY more expensive than is justifiable when the exact same type of control can be sent via DAW. especially if you have a midi controller specifically for said vST that sends the cc data - 499 usd???? SO expensive, unnecessarily expensive.

jackymurda, go to the CONTROL screen in midi grid edit for a graphical cc editor.

Well it is mostly for an analogue synth... but it could have uses in a midi setup. $500 is a bit much if you're not able to take full advantage of it though.

yeah i'd misrecognized this box, this is more of a cv thing, my bad
there's another one more specifically for ccs that's similarly priced

i don't remember the name, i just googled some search terms to no avail
if by chance i see it again i'll post it. it'd be a great companion piece, if A, it wasn't so expensive, and B, it wasn't so expensive.

if you wanted you could try switching between different versions of the same program each with different lfo settings and entering program change messages into your sequence. Of course these changes would be stepped rather than than smooth, far from ideal..

Can you now change MPC programs with program change messages? I thought that only worked with sequences.
