MIDI CC!!?!?!!!???!!?!! OH NO!!!

Hi!
Maybe this is and old topic for you guys. I got mye Akai a week ago, and I have been struggeling to find out about the midi CC on this machine. But... can it be that the midi CC have slipped their (akai) minds? I really thought this was something all "new" stuff had. If I´m right, this mpc1k is worthless to me. UGH!

Next time, do some friggin research. No one will help with your issue because this can easily be found on the forums if you took the time to look.

he means controlled BY midi ccs, folks.

tim, as of now there are 2 parameters which can be controlled via MIDI CC - filter cutoff and resonance, via 71 and 74 respectively.

New
[MIDI IN]
MIDI CC Number02 or 74 ==> Filter Cutoff
MIDI CC Number71 ==> Filter resonance
(Only active track )
It is added to the value of a program.

we hope to see more CCs controlling active track parameters, including QLINK NOTE ON stuff.

i cant get the decay to alter in realtime using the q link on a recorded hihat track. i used this alot to gate hihats and stuff on my xl, cant get it functionin the same. any1 else????

Hm, to control ADSR would at least be a basic start. And if the LFO could be attached to the ADSR and the LFO´s could be controlled by midi I would jump around and clap all day. Very strange, thought this was pretty basic.
After what I read it seems like that is a big step for JJ to implement.

Once, I couldn't do that either so I used sample end instead of decay. But now.. when you said that I checked this and the reason is adsr, set all params to 0 for a full effect, add back to your taste. Sorry for offtopic.

more midi cc control of MPC params should have been integrated from the beginning of the product line, but this was never a big thing. unfortunately. you may be more likely to see the addition of existing QREAL parameters. i also hope QLINK NOTE ON parameters will be qlink assignable. it is in the QLINK NOTE ON parameters catagory that the ADSR envelopes would be midi controlled since such items are NOTE ON in nature. as of now, ATTACK and DECAY are QLINK NOTE ON assignable - perhaps the others will be added as well. what a nice day that would be...

I'm bringing this topic back from the dead so sorry...

Any chance of the MPC1000 responding to sysex message going into it? I've got a BCr2000 and I've been experiementing with sending sysex from that and thought if this implementation existed it might be possible to tweak things externally with this.... if its possible... (i know the 4000 worked that way)
