Not sure if this is the right place to post this, but I am after all running the latest jj OS and I'm wondering if it's the fault of my MPC. I've got my 2500 synched to my sp-404 via MIDI. and every time I hit stop on the mpc and check the bpm on the 404, it's off by +/- 3 bpm. I know the 404 doesn't read decimals (or some odd numbers for that matter) when it comes to BPM, but I've got my master tempo on the mpc at whole, even numbers and the damn things won't keep time together. Has anybody had this problem? I tried using different midi outs but I get the same results... :?

you have to set the 404's midi to be synched with the external sequencer (the mpc), your 404's midi setting is probably "aut" (auto)

pull out your manual and read pg 41/42 (though I'm pretty sure what your looking for is on page 42)

and if you don't have the manual for the 404 you can get it here (for free)
