I was just wondering because in the past I experienced alot of strange shit going on in the OS1. Meaning, samples from my regular tracks would cut off or mute sometimes when I added audio tracks to the sequence. The data would show up in the step edit info, but the tracks would still cut out. Anyone ever experience this?

sick wit it

real good and useful function

i'm the worship leader at my church and i do my original songs and run worship on a mp 1000

i make ma beats wit da mp and reason, then record da reason tracks to PT and the bounce each individual instrument into its own individual audio track on da mp

if you tryin to take your beats wit u fully loaded, its da way to go
sometimes i just record my jv-1080 straight to da mp and audio track it

a real big plus is when it comes to mute automation. when u use a big 8 bar sample you cant automate mutes ( unless u chop of course), caus once dat track is muted da sample just stops playing to when u unmute it its no longer there. but with da audio tracks, u can mute and unmute away

sorry if i was a little too excited u can tell i luv da mp right lol
so if u aint got os2, go ahead bra its an investment u wont regret

I dont see how? I mean, in the last beat I played I had like 5 audio tracks and 1 sample track with one sample played. Around the 4th bar of the sequence the sample cuts out. The notes are there in step edit, but it doesnt play. Any place I can check this maximum usage?

Yeah, thats why I like using the audio tracks as well, the mute automation is exact and I can drop things in and out when I want. That and I like just playing things into the MPC itself.

Thats why i keep da drums right in da box. Leave them sequenced.
Also double up some intruments if i need to, aaaannd, not all the instruments gotta be stereo. Since i drop it all in pro tools before i drag it back, sometimes I just do 1 stereo audio track with all da instruments playing. Then I'll have one fore the verse, 1 for da hook, 1 for da intro, etc..
So you really only gonna have one stereo audio playing at a time.

Believe me, u won't even use half da voices.

audio tracks are fantastic. they've helped me get over a MAJOR hurdle in my own production - use of thick, dense samples with a lot going on. these samples are not good to chop, they're better to loop in small pieces.

slicing these things is irritating - you can slice and reprogram all you want, but odds are it's going to sound like it's been sliced. when a sample is OPEN (ie just the drums, or JUST the guitar etc) you can slice/reprogram without anyone ever knowing. when there's more going on, this is exponentially more difficult.

audio tracks make this possible - in conjunction with a software that allows stretching like Reaper or Ableton. in reaper, you can drag a sample onto the grid and stretch specific bits of it here and there. this allows you to form a bunch of perfect loops and correct slice timing variations in the original recording before importing them into jjos2.
