Hey Guys,

Hope 'yall all good.

Anyone come accross this senario before.

I've got a short break chopped up, only 4 samples, they are all very short samples, all set to MONO and all on the same mute group. I'm not using any other mute groups in the track. I'm triggering them quickly w/ note repeat and as I do some of my longer samples (even on other programs) are getting cut of before they finish.

I know it has something to do with the break because when I play the trak w/ the break muted it plays fine. Play it w/ the break unmuted and they cut off.

I don't think I have reached the max polyphony as I have had tracks with way more samples going at the same time running fine.

I'm stuck!! Any help would be mucho appreciado!!

Cheers,

Nick

it could be that the samples are set to note-on, if so, they'll only be triggered a certain length....try setting them to 'one-shot'.

this way they'll be playing out in full, and be cutting each other up each new hit, which it seems u want it that way yeah?

also lets see what version os u have there because some earlier versions had bugs where the 'note repeat' function wasn't triggering the correct note lengths that are played.....if this is the case - check the versions/update history on the jj site, it might help u.

Thanks for all the help!

I'm running OS 3.08, the last free one and it dosn't seem to have the voice status screen. Is this just in the full versions?

I don't think its polyphony, i've had way bigger tracks before and never had this problem.... but it might be?

Also, Nanoloop what is the GPE?

Thanks for all of your help, its frustrating as funk!

Peace,

Nick

ah, well - as u r using 3.08, i'm a bit foggy , i havent used for ages, infact probably the first week i got the JJ.

mostly now using the OS2 (latest) version, sorry.

GPE is the acronym given to the redesigned 'program edit' screen

so called 'global program editor',

hhhmm u should mbe try downloading the latest version of the OS u have (was 3.08) theJJ OS1?

at least by copying os1 (v4.99) to your CF card (eg) rebooting in the newer os u could see how its progressed, and not necessarily have to buy it. just dont save anything during the trial, then reboot to v 3.08. (needs both os's saved as '.bin' on yer hard drive/cf)

You may have already figured it out, but I had the same problem and I had to get JJOS 1 in order for my samples to work correctly. Good luck.

this is most definitely a polyphony issue.
keep working and study about MONO/POLY programs, MONO/POLY pads, NOTE ON, RELEASE, and DURATION

watch your tails!
