Beat gone again??????? please help

I've stopped using my mpc for a while because i juts keep loosing beats on it.. I spent the whole night sampling, choping and making a beat -about 8 hours it now 4.45 am and its gone..

I saved the whole thing as a project but when i reloaded it all th esamples in each sample in the programs have ?question marks next to them and nothing plays..the pad settings
are still there.

This has happend before.in other beats.

I tried saving each sample seperatley before I saved as a project and it stated that the sample name already exists-when it doesn't..then i changethe name and it tells me the same again..whats going on?

I'm really at a loss to whats happening I made a pretty dope beat..and now its gone...to stressed to sleep..pissed with my mpc

Also any one haveing problems creating a new folder on jj os1 5.53? evry time i try to create a new folder it say"folder name already exists"?

going back to akai os now I have lost so many beats since using this os... I'm **** sick

Are you selecting 'save entire memory'? If not then you should be. I've not had a problem saving my projects but have had the missing samples thing when loading up some projects created with the akai os.

Hey, thanks for the reply. Ya I save entire memory..It worked fine a the start then with my last beat One sample would nevr load and I had to re sample every time. Now with this beat last night every sample appeared with a ? next to it in the programs list.

Do you have the problem creating a new folder? Mine keeps saying "folder name already exists" I was going to just try saving all programs and samples and then seq&songs to try and get around the project problem..

Might try the new akai os but I can't imagine it being better...

Did you re-format your CF card/HD after installing JJ?

Im on jj 1.21 os2 sometimes i save entire memory and go to reload song and find out it didn't load the programs and
i would have to go load them individually.Then after i have all programs loaded song will play as i left it b4,then i will save entire memory again,load it and same thing happens,but this only happens on occasion still haven't figured out why tho.

When its saving entire memory make sure to also replace the samples just to be on the safe side...
Mount on your PC or mac and check to make sure all your samples and programs are on your hard drive before you hit that power button....you might be missing a step.

I didn't reformat the hard drive.Is this a must?

Like just now I saved samples called "sometimes1,2,3 etc they all save fine to the hard drive and when i went to save the 8th one it doesn't save and the last sample in the harddrive flashes. I just can't make beats like this
