Hey guys,

So i got a new problem after figuring out how to get my Triton Classic synced to the MPC1000 properly, everything is working fine.......

Except for this: ill record my drums, and then move to the Triton to lay keys or whatever. Ill set the midi channel to 1A, record the part, then move to channel 2A. when i change the patch on the triton, it changes the sequence on the MPC to the corresponding number. ill be working in Seq 1, and when i change patches in the Triton, it changes the MPC Sequence number to the same as the Tritons Patch number.......

Ive tried turning off program changes on the MPC, but now im stumped.

Anyone know what i have to change for settings to keep this from happening?

Thanks

I have a triton, and yes you're recording the program changes. You need to go into the midi configuration on the triton and tell it not to send program changes.

You would only want this functionality if you needed to have the MPC record program changes for different sequences/tracks of the triton... however this can get pretty complicated if you don't know what's going on.
