JJ 3.08 won't record while mpc is slave

i searched the forums about this and the manual and found nothing. wanted to post here to see if i am missing something before i post a bug.

last night i was trying to record (tried both midi and pads) while the mpx was slaving to external sync. the record light turns on and switches to overdub once it starts to loop but i don't hear the metronome and nothing is recorded. when i turn external sync off it works fine. when i went back to akai os, it works fine (with external sync on).

Press the stop button on your mpc after recording. Thats how i solved it.

finally got around to trying this and it worked. thanks!

btw, i wasn't understanding at first but i guess i had been pressing stop on the external device instead of on the mpc.
