16mb cf card working but now doesn't!!!

hi all i was using a 16mb cf card with my 1000. i use jjos4.99 and it was no trouble. i completely forgot i had a card reader on my pc, so instead on transfering the data via usb i decieded to put the card into the pc. it loaded fine and saw all the data. I then tried moving it.BIG MISTAKE. pc went mental so i took the card out tried loading it back up in the 1000 and it doesn't read it also i tried putting it back in the pc and it doesn't read it. ahhhhhhhh

any one in the same boat?
any one with any help/ideas??

Did u format it before using it?

did you "eject" it from the comp?

its sounds like you pulled it out while it was reading/writing and its now corrupted.

^ thats where I was going with it.

well it was five oclock this morning and vision a bit hazzy but im pretty good with remember the whole eject thing but i remember that even when i ejected it wouldnt let me but everything was closed.

worst case if it corrupted, can i repair it? will i get my stuff back?

You can get some tools that might be able to read the files off of the CF card. Try looking up "Compact Flash Recovery" or something similar. Expect to shell out some cash though.

Also, if it won't let you eject and you need to get it out, shut down your computer before removing the card, otherwise you risk corruption. I lost a 250gb drive this way with a lot of important data and samples on it. Just don't do it. Similarly, if you USB mount the MPC and it won't let you eject the CF/HDD that you have mounted, shut down the computer... don't just pull the cable or you risk a repeat episode of what you have just experienced.
