MPC 1000 DAW request

I know that this topic has probably been discussed before but I'd like to bring it up again. Do u guys think that JJ would be able to create a MPC 1000 DAW like software program for the computer that could read sequence and program files the same way that the mpc1000 does. I know about BlueBox but I mean a program that would play the sequence back. By this I mean a program that could play and save a MPC sequence to a wav or mp3 file that sounds the same high quality that the mpc1000 plays out through its outs. I say this because it would be a great program since the record main outs feature never records the sequence at the same good quality level that the outs actually play and mixing down to a computer DAW can be a pain sometimes. Or if it could be possible to plug the usb from the mpc to the pc to make something like this possible. And I know that the usb feature currently is only enabled for transfer features but with the work that JJ has done on the OS's i thought it would be worth a shot. Anybody else thinks that this would be possible?

unfortunately we're only likely to see this from a 4th party developer, but i love the idea. probably will never see the light of day, but a companion DAW-like software (not to replace daw at all, ONLY for the purpose of PC based visual representation of MPC projects -- maaaaaaaybe with rewire capability if we're feeling ballsy) would be incredible.

I though the MPC had a mixdown feature? But I might be wrong.

You need to buy a quality soundcard with good A/D converters then you can record the MPC just fine.

And what about the digital outputs of the MPC? You can connect it to your pc so you don't loose quality. But I would prefer the analog outputs.

rewire huh... are you talking about extending the capabilities of the usb interface to include a sync protocol?

no no i'm talkign about the original idea of having a MPC software program that could read prj files and open them in a dawish environment.

ayup, with obvious approximation for the filters/effects.

or hell, even leave the filters/FX out...maybe even offer to convert the qlink realtime data to CC.

how long will the mpc 1000 last as an akai product? is it worth the effort? by the time someone releases a stable version, will there be enough interest to sell said product? will you need jjos or will akai work? hmm you know i suppose that would be the question there. jj could prolong interest in the mpc1000 and his 3rd party OSes if someone were to release that. but will we still be using usb when this thing is 'vintage' or 'budget studio'? i think there will be something much better by then. maybe. i dunno. i guess its already 'budget studio'... i think its way more than earlier mpcs had and we are lucky that we get as much out of it as we do.

i just wish akai would produce a perfect machine from the start. but maybe im expecting it to do way more than i should, or than was intended. its a bit much to ask for a budget piece of gear to be a single solution to the production question, if indeed you intend to offer sophisticated sounds and tricks. but maybe thats the reason the scope of this particular mpc model should remain somewhat less than what peoples lofty expectations seem to indicate.

I do have an external tascam audio card and use it to record wach tracks 1 by 1 and it's analogue, but an MPC compatible program that does more than programs such as bluebox would be great , so if there's any 4th party developers out there that would be great. If akai made something like this it would be great but I am not holding my breath on this idea. Just a wishlist I guess. Or if an existing DAW company somehow made it possible to read MPC1000 sequences that would be unbelievable, but again it's just an idea. I wish I knew how 2 get it done but I can't.
