the arpeggiator function is a very welcome addition to the mpc1000
to make it a fully functioning Arpeggiator, it needs:
1. octave switch - 1 - 5 octaves
2. a hold function switch
3. customisable Arpeggiator user algorithm
here's an idea for a custom functions window
hold = on, off
octave = 1oct, 2oct, 3oct, 4oct, 5oct
up
down
forward----= 1 - 99 sets the duration before direction change
reverse----= 1 - 99 sets the duration before direction reversed
random----= 1 - 99 sets the depth of the randomisation
user algorithm = Oct2 UP DW Rev
user algorithm example: user arp = Oct2 UP DW Rev
this means the arpeggiator would play up then down then reverse direction while playing a two octave shift.
4. Played... so that the arp note order is the midi order played
