Tempo keeps changing problem

JJOS1

Make a song and save it.
Open a different song, with a different tempo.
Close that one.
Open the first song again, and it has the tepo from the 2nd song.

Temporary solution:
Add the intended BPM as part of the folder/filename.

Is anyone having this problem. If this is OS related, which update addresses it?

On the main screen, do you have the tempo set to MAS or SEQ? I had a similar issue when I set this to MAS. So I leave it at SEQ!

Sometimes either one.

When files are transferred to the 500 and more sequences are made, then back to the 2500 no probs.

Maybe using SEQ all the time in the 2500 will solve the prob.

When you set tempo to MAS all sequences use the tempo. If u use SEQ each sequence has it's own tempo.

Thats the way I thought it was supposed to work.
So when in SEQ mode you just make sure that all have the same tempo.

Im not saying that certain sequences change tempo. The situation is that the whole song changes to the temp of the song that was loaded before it.

Perhaps im not understanding what you are trying to get across...

Yeah! I had mine set like this. But then, when I would load a different beat, it would load with the same tempo that was already set for the first beat, instead of the actual tempo that the beat should be. I turned it back to SEQ, reloaded the beat and the tempo was were it was supposed to be. Maybe a bug?

Its been a while since I turned on my MPC, but now that I actually sit and think about it, you are exactly right. I asked this question for my boy who is havig this issue with his 2.5. My MPC is in starage. Its hard to resolve a prob over the phone, when you have no MPC in front of you and you arent using it all the time.

Yeah, that's what I figured. I wish it was for all sequences in a song only though!
