chopping question

YO! Got a question concerning chopping:
when I have a sample that has 4 bars, i chop it into 16 pieces. this is a part for the whole song/course /whatever. Then i have another sample with 4 bars and i chop it also into 16 and i have it for the refereen (it's similar to the 1st sample but has more instrument soome vocals etc.). Please tell me is there any way to chop each of these 2 samples into 16 pieces in, let's say, an easy way? Cause you know i have to fit all the hi -hats and snares from the sampleto each pad and in the chopping menu you hear only the parts that you're choppin at the moment and you can play the whole sample by hitting the pads when you convert it into sliced samples after you leave the chopping menu. So if something is done wrong you have to chop the sample from the very begining. I know that in Roland's drummachine there is an option to hear the whole sample live while you're chopping it into 16. Is there something similar on the mpc 100 ??I have the free jj os version so maybe it's available on the newer versions o f the jj os... PEACE!!!

nobody's responding ...prolly the question is not that clear...ish can't explain it clearly in my motherlanguage and as far English is concerned...Imma try to chop more maybe it comes with the experience:) peace

I think I got you P.

First, from my knowledge, you cannot hear the sample while chopping it. But after you make the chop, you can go to a sample (that you just chopped) and manipulate it more. Just go to the "trim" screen and scroll threw the samples... cause now there just samples.

Yes.
That's the non-destructive chopping just like on the MV.
JJ added that to the 1k so now when you are chopping you can hear your chops by tapping the associated pad bases on the chop number (1-32).
