JJ OS MPC 2500 NEW BORN

Can someone fill me in about the MPC 2500 JJ OS operating system. I need info about switching over and what the major purpose and benefits would be please. Is it freeware or do I have to pay for some versions? What is the best version?

Please advise - hoefully a vet with some knowledge about the OS -

I highly recommend switching over to the JJOS whether your going to the free version or one of the paid ones.

Thanks for the info yo - I had the website of the company for JJOS but it didn't go much into detail about the OS. (Or not as much as I was looking for). From what I've read so far the functions are setup differently - I've done some minor surfing for information via threads etc but I was hoping someone could save me some time and eye strain by just giving me the skinny on the JJOS -

I'm a long time MPC user and have never really experienced problems with the AKAI OS layout or functionality but JJOS seems interesting.

Can you elab on JJOS for me a bit Explicit or anyone else with knowledge?

Word - just read up a bit on the JJ OS - However it seems OS1 and OS2 have been deaded and now it's all OSXL which ppl seem to be upset about. Whats the biz with that?

Is OSXL garbage compared to the OS1/OS2 versions?

All three are available from JJ for the price of one. Just use the one that works best for your needs.

You can start by installing the free version mpc2500_jv309.bin available at http://www7a.biglobe.ne.jp/~mpc1000/mpc2500/.
First thing you'll want to do (maybe) is check out the improved trim mode

I'm not much of a "trial" type person so I'm not sure I'll install the free ver if it doens't give me the features of the full version.

I'm going to cop OS1/OS2 and OSXL this weekend and see what I like best. I still mainly use my MPC 2000xl b/c I'm so used to the feel and navigation and my MPC 2500LE is still in the box lol. Figured before I learn my way around that machine I should get the OS that will be the best fit.

1 more thing for now... Correct me if this is NOT the way I need to do things...

First I need to install OS1
Second I need to install OS2

I will then be able to install OSXL correct? Or if I want to stay @ OS2 I can simply remain there correct?

I just went to the Official JJ OS site and OSXL is 113.00 -

I read that I need to enter pswds for OS1 and OS2 to allow me to save my work correct? How can I obtain pswds for those versions or will the purchase of XL allow me to save using OS1 / OS2?

Any recommendations for a rook @ JJOS like my self?

According to JJ's site, you'll need to install the free version first, then XL. Then from there you can install whatever you like.
