Is the usb a must?

I'm sorry if this is a stupid question, but is it a must to connect the mpc to pc via usb and put the jj os in it or could i just put the cf-card to my pc and get the jj os on it? And then put it in the mpc..??

I don't have the usb-cable and that is why I'd like to do it that way, if it was possible.

mpc's usb connection to computer works practically same as a CF card reader - so no difference how you transfer the data to the CF.

nonsense!, the cf readers faster, ie: it will be USB2 reader/port, mpc is USB1

Yea man the USB is dreadfully slow. But the removal of the card brings in the risk of bent pins which everyone should know is a scary but common problem.

Aah, finally i can get back my lovely mpc. I've been unable to do anything because i've had that directory error when saving. So hopefully changing to the jj os will solve that problem.

oh, sorry. IF the port is usb2...
