New to the whole mpc scene but not with computers or midi(i kno that its not audio, rofl gotta add that) anyways i kno that the mpc can be set up w reson to be used as a sound mod but i was wonderin if i can use my Korg Kontrol49's knobs n sliders as a mixer w the reason mixer to control volume levels n such of my mpc tracks, cuz i dont have a mixer n i would like to have that mixer feel w the controller thats collecting dust. hya, the jj os has a few parameters that can respond to midi control, but hardly anything to shout about,

as far as i can tell, the whole mpc can respond on only one channel at a time anyway, the channel that the active track is set to. and then on, it will only respond on that active track. so if u are changing tracks on the mpc, it will be messy if the machine's receiving midi controls. not so bad if u just want to lay down external controls into the tracks one by one to the mpc sequencer.

but i dont think theres any implication for external midi to mixer automation.

mixer parameters can be recorded internally by moving the sliders while in the mixer page during recordings.

and all of the above depends on the actual os version u have,

os1,os2, os2xl vary with regards to incoming midi controls.
