MPC 1000 stopped responding to incoming MIDI

Prior to me switching over to JJ OS 2xl i had my AXIOM 49 MIDI in/out running to my MPC 1000 MIDI In/Out-A, then I had the MPC 1000 MIDI OUT-B running my ASR 10(Rack) MIDI IN. With this setup i was able to trigger my samples on my MPC using my AXIOM, and I could also trigger and sequence my ASR 10 samples using my AXIOM keys, but now I am not able to trigger my MPC samples using the AXIOM let alone trigger the ASR 10 using the soft-thru.
To see if possibly my AXIOM was not sending midi, I hooked the AXIOM midi out to my ASR 10 and it triggered the samples fine, so i know its not the AXIOM. I then ran just the AXIOM midi out to the MPC 1000 Midi IN-A and It did NOT trigger the samples on my MPC. I checked the MIDI channel on my MPC to make sure it was set to Midi 1A and it was. THIS IS DRIVING MY NUTS!

Is there something that I must do differently with JJ OS 2xl in order for the MPC to receive the MIDI from my AXIOM? Or is there something that I am missing.

i figured that i would check to see if my MPC not receiving midi from my AXIOM had anything to do with the OS being 2xl, so i switched to JJ OS 1 by holding down TAP TEMPO and the AXIOM still did not trigger any of the samples on my MPC on the JJ OS 1. I'm at a loss here.

Any Ideas on how to get this working again?

I don't think it's an XL issue. It's working fine for me here with a Nord Lead 2x.

Can you try the Axiom with some other midi device or another midi device with the MPC to figure out which one isn't behaving?

can u trigger the the ASR from the mpc's pads, if so then incoming midi should be able to also.

OSXL drives nuts. thats an issue

I did hook the Axiom directly to my ASR and it triggered my ASR just fine. I also hooked my mpc directly to my ASR and it also triggers it just fine but when I plugged the Axiom to my MPC is still didn't trigger its samples. AARRR STILL DRIVING ME NUTS!!!

I FINALLY FIGURED IT OUT!!!!!
I don't know why this worked but it did: I had my Axiom powered via USB but when i purchased my new mac i had to run the AXIOMs USB to a usb hub because my mac only has one usb port(who knows why). So i thought 'maybe the axiom isn't getting enough power, it was a long shot but i was willing to try anything. So i plugged the AXIOMs USB directly to my Macs one port instead of the Hub, AND IT WORKED!!!
