HELP! OS v. 4.99 not working

Has anyone had this issue:

First time MPC user and i find out about this JJ OS stuff. So i load the JJ OS v 4.99 and discover that it requires a password to save my songs/seq/samples. OH NO I WROTE OVER THE AKAI OS AND CAN'T GO BACK! So I load the JJ OS 3.8 and choose to purchase the 4.99. Using 3.8 atleast i can save my stuff. So after a week (no fault of JJ people) I finally get my password and get ready to go to town. But only to find the password is invalid! What gives? What did I do wrong. The product ID in the email they sent me and the one on the download are different. Is this normal? How do I get around this without having to BUY another password. (Actually I like the layout and font size of 3.8 better anyhow).

Besides, whats with the angst? It's just a question homie. If you don't want to answer or think its stupid (or think I'm lying about a first post) then move on.
