Hi everybody. midi note assign help please

hey i recently bought an used mpc1000-bk (128mbit ram 120gb hd)
i dunno if the pads is the older "bad" version people talk about.
my pads work but maybe the padfix or newer versions is better and more sensitive?

i use the free jjos version since i dont have any money to upgrade to 1.> jjos2xl at the moment!
but i will when i can pay.

Im in the learning curve and there is one thing i just cant make that i really want to set up.

i use portable recorders and mics and record my own sounds. i have lots of
vintage and wierd instruments that i have recorded,
every single note as seperate .wav samples.
and named them with the correct note name.

everything works great when mapping them out on a program to the pads
but since this is mostly keyboardsamples i want to play them on my midikeyboard
connected to mpc without any use of laptop.

i connect the midikeyboard to the mpc but when i play on the keys the samples
is not at all in order like they should be, they are like spread out totally wrong.
i need to map them so ex: my c2.wav gets played at the midi keyboard at c2
and c#2.wav at c#2 key etc etc . I hope my question is clear.

How do i assign the samples to specific midikeys on the midikeyboard?? i cannot find instructions on this anywhere..

i have the original manual, the big beatmaking on the mpc manual i tried google and searched on this forum.
I dont know if im blind or stupied /both but i can not find it.

Please help me out fellow MPC users! or direct me to a post or link where i can learn this properly.

Dont assign your samples to a 'Drum' program. Use the 'Chromatic' assignment features of your MPC which are WELL DOCUMENTED.

if u already have the program set up with your samples, you will manually have to go through and change each midi note value for each sample.. go to program mode (pad7) then press the "note" key (f4)

the real downer here is that once you've assigned your sample, played and recorded it back into the mpc you can't actually assign the recorded note(s) to one of the 4 out channels to a mixer.
This is a real shortfall in my view.

you no what Nym i've never sussed it ! so i thought it couldn't be done.... i'll explain......

When you assign a note using chromatic or whatever it's called again to a blank midi keyboard then record the sequance you play back into the mpc it is then not possible to assgin it one of the outs.
Say i have my recorded sequance on track 2, you can't assign it to an out ?

I would love for you to tell me i'm missing something.

i'm not totally sure of what you're describing, but any pad or track can be assigned to a hardware output or hardware output pair either in GPE (mode pad 7) or in the track mixer (mode pad 4). just look for OUT.
