Will this HD work with JJ OS V1 4.99

I bought the HDM10 adapter a few weeks ago, now I need to buy the HD.
Will this HD work?

you neet a HD with P-ATA (IDE) port, NOT S-ATA, like in this one in your message.

What about this one:

It has a P-ATA port and 250GB of storage space. Imagine that in a MPC1K!!! You probably can go even bigger than that!!!! Would this work?

Opps!!! I've just noticed it says "EIDE" I wonder if that would make a crucial difference in whether or not it would work in the 1000.

Yeah it should work but bear in mind that the MPC will only recognize a maximum of 128GB or so, so getting a 250GB drive is sort of a waste.

I usually don't chime in and tell people to do a search, but hard drives for the 1000 has been talked about quite a bit. I'd check out

if you start looking at other models.

Thasnks guys for clearing that up. I currently have a 20GB drive in mine which is somewhat plenty but it probably won't be if I start doing a lot of sampling 'n chopping (which I probably will be) or audio tracking on the MPC. However, at least I now know to look for no more than 120GB if/when I decide to upgrade the internal HD.

Get a 120-160gb HD, you'll only be able to see 127gb max anyways.

I checked the thread that JBR linked to, and it was 31 pages long. Plus, most of those drives have been discontinued.

Can anyone point me to some links where to buy one for a good price? Even if someone can tell me what words to type into Google Shopping to get some results, that would also be great.

I know it's long, but use the search within this thread function. It'll weed out alot of BS you don't need.

I also know it's old, but alot of those models are still for sale, and are ever cheaper now since it's been so long.

To find your HD, look at the criteria it has to meet at the beginning of the thread I posted. SATA? 2.5? 3.5? All this in link I posted here. Once you know the criteria that you have to meet, go to sites like

newegg.com and frys.com
