Playing sequences realtime with pads

Hi, I want to know if with the free JJOS you can play sequences 1 sequence to a pad. It's possible ?

hows about if you resample your seq and then asign that smple to a pad.

try hitting the Next Sequence button.

You can, with os2 XL, there is a mode in next sequence window where you can make other sequences play immediatly. So you can really play with your sequences, but not record it.

Well it's fine since I record directly to my A&H ZEDR16 . . . so it's really more comfortable to me to just record sequences while mixing them realtime !

When you get a chance, let us know how it works out for you. I'm always curious about new techniques people work out.

Sure I will ! That way you can build the whole song and record it directly if you got all your sequences ready.
The only drawback I see on the MPC 1000 are the outputs. I will have to overdub because I like to use my analog EQ on every sample. Or at least group stuff like charlies and crashes together. . can you group stuff to an output ?

You can specify in a program where each sample will be output to. You can specify down to L+R/1+2/3+4/L/R/1/2/3/4 so you should have a pretty good amount of options.

I think most people around here that mix externally use L+R for stereo sounds/effects, and then 1-4 often as mono outs so they can mix things like drums/bass/vocals on the mixer.
