Non-destructive chop

When using non-destructive chop, how do you change the default value of 32 chops, lets say you want to use non-destructive chop for only 8 chops? How do you go about doing that? Thanks in advance

Thanks but when I go to slice mode, it takes me out of non-destructive chop mode, I'm looking at the manual and it says when you turn chop ON a sample will be divided into 32 as a default value, and it will assign to chop1-chop32. Is there anyway to change the default value to 8 chops or something lower.

Does anyone have an answer? This would make chopping so much easier, I even looked through older posts, I'm pretty sure there is no way to nd-chop lower than 32 slices, if you hit slice it goes back to regular chopping.

once you turn chop to "on" the slice option that appears on the f keys is for non destructive chops,after slicing(press do it) you will notice that as you hit the pads it will trigger the different chop regions- normal slice will not do this but ndc slice wil.
also: you can still edit slice start and end points after pressing "do it".
