Drum n Bass Drumkit (and other free stuff) for MPC 1000 JJOS

Hey everybody,

i just sampled a Drum n Bass Drumkit from my Roland MC 505 and created a PGM for the MPC.
If anybody wants it - here you go:

Sounds a bit dry and synthetic... but thats how the MC 505 sounds

Nicely sampled, and great collection of sounds! Real generous... why not normalize those kicks and snares though? (I normalize everything)

1: if you ever layer your beats in DAW instead of on pads, you need them below 0dbfs to avoid clipping when you add them, unless your using a brick-wall limiter on the summing bus...

2: when you normalize, you make everything louder, so if your sample is peaking -6db and you normalize it, you have Increased the noise by 6dB as well.

in my opinion this additive noise makes little difference other than timbre-shaping for drum hits...but you really hear it if you normalize a long sample and mix it with another long smapl thats been normlized...

maybe....layerin one shot drum samples with parallel/ny compression; make a reece, samplin som sci-fi movie and...u have a perfect dnb tune
