song mode question

never used it much, until now, but i'm wandering if anyone can explain whats possible with it when i consider what i want to do is tweak programs as the songs are playing through, but it seems to lock the screen in song mode.

Na you could tweak, get the song structure going, then convert it to sequences and you can still mute and whatnot. I like the song mode. I program all the drops and sh*t, then when its time to dump to the DAW hit play and walk away,

yeah thats a thought, ive got mutes all recorded in place in each extended seq/section, then song modes' playing them in the right order at the right changes, i just need to tweak the programs as they appear and develop them on the fly,so yupp, the convert will be a good idea.

if you chain SEQs in song mode, then instead of using track mutes it may also be easier to just delete the track... just a thought.

I use usually have a "master" SEQ that I then copy and create variations off of using mutes/deletes/re-recording variations of sections. Then in song mode chain them together into a song.
