WEIRD Problem when loading via USB !!! HELP PLEASE!

dunno whats up

my samples are sampled from Records to the Mac via a software called WIRETAP Studio

everything is totaly fine with the samples!!! the have different size and different sounds
but when i load them to the MPC via USB they still show up in the MPC Hard Disk with different size (cant see the name because its too long for the mpc display)

BUT they all just play the same sample back... wich is one of the right samples but when i load 20 different samples from one recorded Folder (mac) they all just play back ONE of those samples inside the MPC


whats up there?


could it be a "too many charakters"-issue every sample is called like this

"mLAN Network_recording 15.cached.wav"


could it be soem naming, renaming thing or whats up there?

They can only be 16 characters long. And make sure that they are 16 bit/44.1 khz samples. I think some people say not to use spaces either.

yeah, if they all look like the same name on the MPC you need to rename them so the first 16 characters are unique.

google Bulk Rename Utility. that's exactly what you need.

had a typo there sorry

instead of MAY there should be MAC


and Rename Utility seems not to be available for mac, thanks for the quick answer tho

Look up CK rename, its free. Not sure if it supports mac tho,.

use 'Automator' if its not on your mac by default, then download it from apple downloads
