25 or 30 fps for mtc sync?

Ive seen people give different advice when it comes to the settings used with midi time code. You hear 25 fps or 30 fps. Does this setting depend on the DAW, or is there one proper frame per second setting JJOS users should be using when syncing there mpc's to there DAWs. My 1000 is the master in my setup. (just in case that makes some sort of difference)
