Hi,
I dont know if the jj os would help me but i have sequences that i did on the mpc 2000xl that i have saved onmy compact flash card. i try loading ithem on the mpc 2500 and i can only load like 5-8 sequences on a program but on the 2000xl i can load about 20 sequences. from what i was told the mpc 2500 has more RAm etc but the seq memory is way less than the 2000xl. I just dont know what to do and is contemplating getting rid of my 2500. PLease help in anyway you can. the same seq on the 2000xl thats 50kb in size is like 200kb on the 2500. WHY>?

What is the exact message that pops up in ur screen when u can't load up anymore sequences?

It's weird that a 50kb file suddenly becomes a 200kb file.
Maybe u should try to back the cf card up to ur computer, format the card, load the sequences back on the card and try again.

I had similar problems last week when I was backing up old projects from my XL. It was something to do with memory capacity, or lack of. I got all my sounds backed up though which I was more bothered about.

thanks for your suggestions. already tried that. i think it has something to do with the 2500 having less sequencing memory. idk

Try saving your sequences in the XL as midi files, instead of MPC sequence files. Might be more compatible.
