weird shizzle

yo theres some weird stuff going on with my samples ok
here goes i am using a macbook and recording using soundtrack pro so anyway i got these samples on laptop if i go through and listen to each one sound ok but when transfer them thru usb onto my mpc2500 and listen to them on the sample screen they sound choppy the hell is going on? oh also im using jjosxl 1.14 ok it sounds clear through headphones on mpc hmmmm line is culprit then
by the way hope someones learning by my mistakes and im not just rambling on even though i am

are they 44.1 khz, 16 bits?

please provide more information. describe everything, maybe even an example of audio from the mpc?

are you previewing from the CF card? what speed is the card youre using?

previewing from mpc hard drive and sounds ok on headphones but choppy through the line in of mac during record in oh now sounds ok after recording of a snippet on soundtrack hmmm its very distracting hearing the choppy ness and yet its ok once its recorded

your problem is somewhere in your amp/speaker system maybe? a short of some kind?

it might be some internal clock issue on my mac sux

oh man... are you using the digital out of the mpc? cause if the rates are mis-matched you will get clicks and gaps in the audio

interesting but nah just regular out audio

so then youre monitoring audio through your mac? i would say its a mac issue. what else do you have running? that is a toughy

yeah umm they only other thing running is firefox on the net but here on the forum

whatever it was it went away after awhile

You may have set latency too low on your host input. With enough background processes on the Mac it could've been starving your audio card for CPU time.

The Mac has a pretty great built in audio card though, so I really doubt it is a problem there... I'd check latency/buffer settings on your host software.
