JJ os1 -how to setup pad velocity for brush strokes

I want to do some intricate brush stroke triggering so I need to be able to trigger sounds softly and loudly and inbetween, how do I set the pads up in jjos 1 for this, I can't seem to find it anywhere in the modes?

when I go to mode+other and then select the pad tab I see the curve mine is on 'A' and I see the pad on level I thought the pad on level was what I needed but no matter what I put it on I cannot here the pad trigger unless I set it to full level, i don't want full level cause I need a range of levels.

Assign the same samples to different pads with different settings?

Q-link slider?

Adjust velocity afterwards in step edit mode?

hi and thanks I should have said that I'm triggering midi not samples, I'm triggering a soundmodule.

Allright, now I understand u. I was wondering why u asked such a simple question, mostly ur on other type of stuff.

I would still try to make different versions of this sample in ur soundmodule.

Or.. Check the pad sensitivity again. The higher the amount, the more sensitiv it is.
Also I hope u have the pad upgrade?

yeah the problem I'm having is that if I take the mp off of full level I don't hear anything and if I keep it on full level it triggers my soundmodule to loud, my sound module has rhodes, piano and other instruments on it and they react to velocity so it sounds like i'm hitting the rhodes keys to hard, it's not allowing me to play softly.

U should try to get a padupgrade.
Or a midi keyboard.

i got the pad upgrade couple of weeks ago, I want to setup templates for different scales and keys and use the mp I just can't get it to do anything besides full level sensitivity

what is everybody just programming their drums with full velocity that can't be?

no full velocity. in the mode+10 then pad screen there are 3 settings you need to adjust. above each track is the velocity cap. turn that all the way up. then set your curve to A. then put the pad on level to 1. this will give your pads the fullest range from low to high. and you shouldnt need that full level button anymore.

thanks lunatic man you sorted me out I was **** with those parameters and it just wasn't working out and finally it's coming together thankyou very much that shit was driving me crazy
