Sad Day !

Hi JJ's users,

After a few months of reflection, I've finally decided to jump into JJ's world.
After downloading free OS 3.09, I copy it on the CF I used to update from AKAI 1.23 to AKAI 1.24 OS.
Then I insert CF in MPC's slot, press window, push the power button....
"Wrong Card" !?!?? WTF ??!!?

The CF have been re-formated with OS 1.24 and used without any problem for months.
Tried with another one, same problem...
2GB CF cards, from SanDisk.

Any Idea ? Am I JJ incompatible ?

you have to format the card from inside the JJos, to make it useable. make sure u back it up to your computer first, then copy everything back. same goes with the internal HD if you have 1.

Hard to format from JJ OS when you can't install it...

Well, I've installed free OS 3.09 by the load page method.
But now I can't see OS 2 in load page of free JJ OS ! CF card has been re-formatted from free JJ OS.
In the load page there's like a blank file. Like if there is something, because "load it" is write, but can't see anything and pressing F6 does not load any sh**** !
Do I have to pay and enter a code to see something ? Thought we can install it anyway, just have to pay to save stuffs...

Edit (Piaf) : That's probably that, XL has been installed successfully... Downgrade will be my answer...

you can only install os2 if you have installed and payed for os1 first. not the free edition but the full os1.

I finally bought and installed OS XL, and really happy with it.
But I got 1 question :

"Please close the window without "CLOSE" by the [WINDOW] key" says the manual. But what does it mean ? I don't understand what it says to not do and what we got to do.

May you explain me ? Maybe translate in french, if there's a french speaker... (please, don't send url to automatic translators...)

I know it looks (I look) stupid, but I really don't get it !

Looks like a typo. I think what's meant is that to close a window you should use the "close" button where available.

I think the whole manual has gone through an auto-translation tool from Japanese. My guess would be it's trying to say if there is not a Close button then use the Window key to close, although that doesn't seem to bear true to my limited use. The above is probably truer to what it should say.

Personally I don't see why there would be any reason to worry about exactly what he means. What problems has not fully understanding what is meant made for you?

I don't want to make mistakes... and I thought I didn't understand because of my bad english !
I was pretty sure he used automatic translator, needed to check it with poeple who spoke english as a mother tong...

yeah but that is not actually the issue... the problem is, french is structured in a sense... backwards from english.

I read so many contradictory things, and I mix stuffs in my brain (Alzheimer) so... and sometimes just don't understand... Everything should be translate in french...
