note on bleeding rest of sample through.

I'm trying to do note on sample and I just want to tease it alittle before I drop the whole sample so I change in the program screen from one shot to note on but it seems that the rest of the sample bleeds though even though Ijust tap it not press it whats up! can I ajust this somehow thanks in advanc hoope there is.
